Adventive - LIAS Glossary

adventive (adjective; synonym: adventitious) – incidental, appearing casually; usually refers to production of lobes, branches, or other organs, not in the normal pattern, sometimes caused by regeneration after damage, but sometimes a good taxonomic character.
