thallus apex curvature (noun, pl. thallus apex curvatures) – the position of the thallus apex relative to the orientation of the entire thallus, not relative to the growth of the thallus itself, e. g.: (1) a pendulous thallus is hanging down, if the tips are oriented towards its attachment point they are curved upwards. (2) an erect thallus is growing upright, if the tips are oriented towards its base they are curved downwards.
