Word Form Categories - LIAS Glossary

This is a test version of the LIAS Glossary. Many definitions presented here are still in need of revision! Criticism as well as collaboration is welcome!

The glossary authors attempt to categorize words into word forms. The primary categories are:

noun, adjective, adverb, verb, preposition, prefix, suffix, and abbreviation.

In addition nouns with no plural or no singular and entries containing an indication of language origin (Latin, Greek, German and English) may be reviewed.

By clicking on any of the links above, you will see a list of all pages containing a link to a given category. With few exceptions (e. g. the links from this page), these links indicate that a glossary entry belongs to that category.

Note: Some other header information (synonym, opposite, variant spelling) was considered not helpful to treat as a category.
